Salesforce’s Developer Experience (DX) team is looking for a talented designer to help deliver experiences that empower the world’s top developers to build great apps on the Salesforce platform.

As a Senior Designer for the Salesforce Developer Experience team, you will help shape the vision, roadmap, workflows, and product integrations that ensure our developer tools are part of a joyful, unified experience that sits comfortably within the Salesforce ecosystem. You’ll work to ensure that each tool in our developer suite can be discovered, understood, and used in ways embraced by modern app developers – no-code, low-code, and pro-code alike. Industries (Health Cloud)

The Salesforce Industries team is shaping the future of healthcare, financial services, and many other sectors in a major growth area for the company. You’ll see how we are expanding our product portfolio with three clouds for customers in communications, media, energy and utilities, and new solutions for the public sector, providing purpose-built apps with industry-specific data models and pre-built business processes that help drive ROI and digital engagement. Data Cloud

At Salesforce, we make the tools that help people work more effectively and efficiently. Product Design and User Experience is at the center of all of it. In this role, you’ll be part of the Salesforce Data Cloud User Experience team; working closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers, you will shape our Data Cloud experiences.

Salesforce Data Cloud aims to help companies understand their customers and create value at every touchpoint in the customer lifecycle with harmonized data. Allowing businesses to connect data from a wide variety of sources while providing tools to bring that data together. Our Data Cloud User Experience team ensures that users will be able to efficiently and intuitively access, analyze, and leverage data within the Salesforce ecosystem.

Behind Salesforce Data Cloud is a team of talented UX designers, product leaders and engineers dedicated to creating integrated experiences that support strong relationships for users and their customers. You’ll immerse yourself in all aspects of end-to-end experience design: using storyboards, journey maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas and direction. Experience/Skills Required

4+ years of experience designing and delivering software products from start to finish as part of a cross-functional team. Ability to deliver solutions on time independently and with on-site and distributed teams Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices, and experience using analytics and research to drive decisions and develop product iterations. Ability to explore ideas, persuade, and build consensus on fast-moving projects with varying degrees of ambiguity and deadlines. Capability to deliver original, high-quality design work that is conceptually strong, meets business needs, and is at the right level of fidelity for each phase of a project. Strong communication and active listening skills, with an ability to build and develop close, trusting relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders across product and engineering. Familiar with managing large design initiatives, including managing competing priorities. Demonstrated desire to continually improve on processes. Can design and think in design systems, not just single-purpose apps. Can consider how a design impacts ethics and equality, and have the conviction to speak up if veering off course. Expert knowledge of current design tools, such as Figma, along with an ability to learn new tools. BA/BS or MA/MS in a design-related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, and user research teams to create a vision for your product area.
  • Serve as a bridge linking design, product, engineering, and marketing teams.
  • Oversee multiple web and mobile application features, interfaces, and experiences.
  • Communicate clear and compelling ideas to a wide range of key stakeholders using documentation, reviews, and presentations.
  • Produce wireframes, storyboards, concepts, and other collateral to help communicate research results and make the case for new ideas.
  • Create designs that adhere to and extend the existing style guide and design system.
  • Generate detailed final design specs that inspire accurate developer builds.
  • Work with developers and quality experts to deliver a polished final product.
  • Promote and educate others on new interface guidelines and design patterns.
  • Mentor new design staff.
  • Develop software that is global in reach, universal in design, and designed for users of multiple languages and abilities.
  • Advocate for accessibility through encouraging product and engineering management to prioritize accessible features and bug fixes.
  • Support the vision for a product’s creative identity, articulates it clearly and convincingly, and guide the team through its implementation.
