Overview
The National Hockey League is looking for a Product Designer (New York, New York). This role will help create the user experience and design of the NHL’s public-facing and internal digital initiatives. The qualified candidate will actively work with development and project management teams to design simple, usable desktop and mobile experiences.
Essential Responsibilities
- Collaborate on product development and design of high-profile digital experiences.
- Conceptualize and establish best-in-class practices for product design and delivery.
- Aid in facilitating design processes to deliver high quality products that are consistent across platforms.
- Design and develop sitemaps, wireframes, mockups, and clickable prototypes for stakeholder feedback.
- Assist in establishing, contributing, and maintaining the design system for digital properties.
- Work side by side with development resources to define component libraries as well as rules for their usage.
- Support development team to implement product design requirements within a project.
- BA/BS in Web/Graphic Design or an equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in user experience and digital design.
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, InVision, and other design/prototyping equivalents.
- Proven track record of designing and developing responsive experiences.
- Experience using Miro, Slack, Jira, and Confluence.
- Familiarity and involvement in product strategy.
- Experience with customer research, usability testing, prototyping, and data.
- General knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Agile project management methodology.
- Knowledge of the game of hockey.
