We currently have a new opening for an experienced Electrical Designer with advanced knowledge of Revit for Electrical systems. There will be challenges in working with an Electrical team in-house!

As an Electrical Designer, you will be part of a team that designs, documents, and develops high-density multifamily buildings. The majority of your time will be dedicated to designing and modeling Electrical systems under the guidance of our engineers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Revit cloud models to develop highly detailed and accurate electrical design documents for multi-family buildings. This process begins with schematic design and continues through the final construction documents.
  • Design electrical systems: Incoming electrical service, power distribution, Interior lighting and controls, parking, and exterior areas photometrics. 
  • Design voice and data systems: Layout of all equipment and telecommunications rooms including equipment racks and cabinets, wire management, internal room pathways, termination equipment. 
  • Creating detailed quantity takeoffs from Revit for procurement. This includes quantifying wire, conduits, electrical fixtures, and other relevant items. 
  • Coordinate with the Architect, Civil, Structural, and construction trades through Revit BIM model exchange platforms. 
  • Participate in daily check-ins and online meetings during office hours in the US Central Time Zone. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience using Revit to design Electrical systems. 
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. 
  • Experience working on US projects. 
  • Experience with Fire Alarm design is a plus.
