In This Role You Will

 

  • Be proficient in time management and moving between managing and coaching the team and delivering on a daily basis to enhance overall user experience.

  • Lead the UX design process, from research and conceptualization to implementation and iteration

  • Evaluating, communicating and evolving the overall gameplay vision together with Directors, other Lead Game Designers, and the rest of the Gameplay team

  • Leverage established (UI/UX) Styleguide and visual identity when creating visual and interactive solutions rooted in the user’s navigated journeys

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive design mockups to communicate design concepts and gather feedback

  • Write documentation and guidelines to help the team make better decisions

  • Ensure a seamless cross-play experience for players across different platforms

  • Conduct user research and testing to gather feedback and insights on the game’s usability.

  • Continuously monitor and analyze player behavior and metrics to inform design decisions and improve the player experience

  • Collaborate with the art and animation teams to ensure that the game’s visual design enhances the overall player experience

  • Manage and coach the UX/UI team and ensure the quality of the department’s work is at a high level. Lead by example
What We’re Looking For
  • Advanced level of leadership experience directing user experience designers and user interface artists

  • Experience providing craft mentorship to a UX/UI team and providing career development to designers of all levels

  • Strong portfolio with UI/UX Design examples from video games

  • Proficient user of Figma or other wireframing software

  • Strong UI and visual design skills (i.e., composition, iconography, layout, typography, and colour theory)

  • Solid understanding of design principles (e.g. user centred design, info hierarchy, layout, typography, colour)

  • Self-motivated, self-sufficient, well organised, and able to multitask

  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with multiple teams

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have
  • Experience within Unreal Engine (in terms of prototyping and feasibility)

  • Experience with real-time networked multiplayer games

  • Passionate about MOBAs
