Full Time

Plum Fintech

Description

At Plum, we’re on a mission to maximise wealth for all. We’re making saving money effortless and turning investing into something everyone can do.

Our journey began back in 2017, when we became one of the first to use artificial intelligence and automation to simplify personal finance. Fast forward to today, and we’ve already helped people save £2 billion across 10 European markets.

Named the UK’s fastest-growing fintech in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, our success is down to the passion and dedication of our diverse team. Based in our London, Athens and Nicosia offices, 170 talented people work together to empower people to do more with their money. And now, the team is growing!

The Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll be working on improving the customer experience and building towards our mission. This is a hands-on IC role, where you’ll spend your time designing parts of the Plum product within a cross-functional team.

What You Will Do

Solve user problems from beginning to end. From carrying out research to implementing your polished flows and interactions with engineers
Collaborate with other designers to establish Plum’s design processes, tooling setup and core principles
Sketch and prototype ideas with your team, to assess their viability before fleshing out the finer details and interactions
Use research and testing to validate your work and build empathy and further understanding of Plum’s users
Partner with Product Managers, to define how the product works and what it looks like in future iterations
Work closely with Engineers to build, iterate and ship your ideas

Who You Are

A product thinker – you care about why you’re designing something and what impact it will have for the user
Someone who has a design process that puts the human first. You use data and research where necessary, and validate design through testing
A brilliant communicator – you can explain and rationalise the reasons for your design decisions, and can receive and give constructive feedback
Able to work independently, but also know when to work with other designers and when to ask for help
Fluent in designing for mobile devices and with a strong portfolio of projects showing your interaction and visual design skills
Someone who understands how digital products get built, and you have 3+ years experience shipping them
Fluent in iOS and Android design systems and know when to reuse existing patterns versus going custom. And importantly, you know chips, toasts and snack bars are more than just tasty treats
